Held him aside

The strangest chords I ever came up with, not intentionally, though. The song idea is about 4-5 yrs old but it was redone a couple of months ago into this version. One slight problem you might notice is the drums - I think I might have used the same pattern for this song and GRUGE. It's just that my wave library is very limited.
Please tell me what you think about this song.

Hey guys, we just recorded this in my apartment. It's a song off our recent album. We're called MARULA. Check out our site at marula.ca Enjoy!

sex

Btw, the vocals start in the middle of the song and I hate mp3 sound, so if any of you know how to make the best of it, tips would be appreciated, thanx. Usually I export in wav format.

Yearbook

I came up with this in about half an hour, you can probably tell. I've used up my encoding limit on Acid Xpress so I probably wont be doing any music for a while...unless anyone can sugest any decent free software I can download?? I have no money at all. If I did I'd go out and buy some.
Anywho, tell me what you think of this
Thanks
x
By the way, the funny noise after 'We live, We learn, We grow,' was the phone ringing...haha

BluesMan

What to say about this song... it's a song I wrote long time ago. It's a song about blues and how gr8 blues is and when I listen blues I don't need anything else 'cause it feels so good. It's blues-rock song, I hope u'll like it. And this is first time u'll hear me singing. Not really the best I can show, this song was recorded when I was 17, that was 3 years ago. Expect next month something brand new. :)

Lady Liberty

This song is a collaboration. I found PorcelainDoll's words up on the lyrics forum and really liked them. This was right after viewing Stuffx's very cool America Fuck Off! so I was in the mood for some political stuff and PD's lyrics seemed so right. Anyway, this is definitely NOT the way other people heard this song going so maybe I'll get skewered..... that's the lovely thing about bandamp - i can't get lynched over the web! Hey PorcelainDoll, I hope you don't mind.

Stuttered Lo-Fi

Messing around in GarageBand, a dodgy, battered old acoustic and the built-in microphone from the Powerbook. Oh and a stubby Oxygen keyboard. No vocals yet. Just listen for the whirr of the laptops fan on all the guitar tracks :( especially on the lamentable guitar solo. Have at!

Symbiosis

written by James S. Iarocci
performed by Strepitus 6/15/05
James S. Iarocci - bass, vocals
Brian Fanelli - piano

This song protests the standards set by society for the few regarded as heroes who are expected to carry the rest of the world along with them.

dont know really

This is my favourite of my music. takes some concentration but I find it quite hypnotic. I tried to make something where the melody stayed almost the same but the percussion was a little less predictable :)

duplicity

I tried to upload this earlier, so I'm probably repeating myself here.

It's been a long time (years) since I wrote and recorded anything, or even played with anyone.

So this marks a return to music for me. This is a simple piece, although I got a somewhat carried away in the middle.

It's called duplicity because of the harmonies, which are the dominant feature of the music. I like the way they rain down.

Best listened to with headphones.

I hope someone likes it.

Mr.Down Happy

Mr. Down Happy- its a song about a guy Down Happy who has no ambition in life since he found out that the purpose of life was that there was no purpose at all! And everyone who tries to point out what a loser he is, he is just happy being himself- Down Happy. Everyone ends up in the same place- dust to dust. Make the most of life, enjoy it.

Well, recording is not the best but its because I recorded this live. So enjoy the tune.
Cheers

Wont Give Up

I put vocals to 'Mountains' and I am really dissappointed with it. I just couldn't get my voice sounding good, and the quality of the recording is pants, with the stupid clipping and it going all distortedery and...grrr!
This stupid damn laptop with its stupid slowness and its stupid crappy sound...
Need a job!

Lyrics:

Got to find the holes,
Paralel spaces in between.
Its got to all fit together,
And feel just like my dream.

I wont give up,
It'll work one day.
No I wont give up,
Oh come what may.

Got to take my time,
Let it all just find its place,
For patience is a virtue,
And virtue is a grace.
Freedom will taste sweeter,
If I don't complain,
So I sit... And I wait,
Until this song drives me insane.

I wont give up,
It'll work one day.
No I wont give up,
Oh come what may.

I will find,
My place one day.
And I,
Might even have,
Something good to say.

I wont give up,
I wont leave this alone.
No I wont give up,
'Cause I've found my home.

Some thing I do, some think programming is not music, others think art is complex, I only know I know nothing. JFK and Dr. King swinging onto some stuff, I did not edit (excluding the obvious repetitions) Dr. King speech, I did the track for it, hope you enjoy.
